Walking in and booking
Do I need an appointment at Rami's Cut?
No. Walk-ins are welcome at all three shops, seven days a week. If you want a set time, call the shop you are heading to and they will hold a chair for you.
Can I book online?
Yes. Tap Book Now anywhere on this site, pick your shop, and the Booksy booking opens right here. You can also book through the Booksy app. Walk-ins are still welcome if you would rather just come in.
What are your hours?
Every Rami's Cut shop keeps the same hours: Monday to Saturday 9am to 7pm, and Sunday 10am to 5pm. Holiday hours are posted at the shop.
How long does a haircut take?
A standard cut or fade takes about 30 to 40 minutes. A hot shave takes about 30 minutes on its own, so allow extra time if you want both.
Prices and paying
How much is a haircut at Rami's Cut?
An adult haircut is $31 and an adult skin fade is $34. A haircut with a beard is $52, a buzz cut $19 and a hot shave $35. Prices are the same at all three shops.
Do kids and seniors get a lower price?
Yes. A kids cut for under 10s is $24 (skin fade $28) and a senior cut for 65 and up is $23, at every shop.
How much is a beard trim?
A beard trim or a line-up on its own is $15. A line-up and trim together is $28, and a haircut with a beard is $52.
Can I pay by card?
Yes. Every shop takes cash and card.
Should I tip my barber?
Tips are appreciated and never required. Cash tips go straight to your barber.
Cuts and services
What services do you offer?
Fades (low, mid, high and skin), hot towel straight razor shaves, hair tattoos and designs cut in with the trimmer, buzz cuts, and classic scissor cuts and tapers for men, kids and seniors. Beard trims and line-ups are on the board too.
What is a hot shave?
A hot towel is laid on the face to soften the hair, then the shave is done with a straight razor and finished with a cold towel. It is the full traditional shave. Book a bit longer for it.
Do you cut kids' hair?
Yes. Kids of any age are welcome at every shop, and children under 10 pay the kids price.
Can I bring a photo of the cut I want?
Please do. A photo of the fade or design you want is the fastest way to get exactly that. If you are not sure what suits you, your barber will recommend a cut.
Are the barbers the same at every shop?
Every Rami's Cut barber is trained the same way, by Rami, through Rami's Barber School. That is why the same fade comes out the same at every shop.
The shops and the school
Where are the Rami's Cut shops?
There are three shops: Port Coquitlam (112 - 2540 Shaughnessy Street), Coquitlam (110 - 1190 Pinetree Way) and Pitt Meadows (12145 Harris Road).
Which shop is the original?
Port Coquitlam, on Shaughnessy Street. It is also home to Rami's Barber School.
Has Rami's Cut won any awards?
Yes. Rami's Cut won Battle of the Barbers in 2013 and again in 2014.
Can I learn to cut hair with Rami?
Yes. Rami's Barber School in Port Coquitlam runs one to three day shaving and fading courses and a complete barber course that includes an apprenticeship at Rami's Cut.
